Z-Wave Home Automation Devices
Z-Wave is a low-power mesh network where devices communicate with each other via sub-GHz radio waves (868.42MHz in Europe/UK), with much longer ranges available compared to those of WiFi devices.
It's ideal for home automation as communication between devices is reliable, not impacted by other devices on the network or internet connectivity (WiFi), power consumption is very low and much greater distances can be achieved.
The only drawback is that a compatible/certified Z-Wave hub is required to use Z-Wave devices. We stock a range of Shelly Z-Wave devices within our dedicated Home Automation section.
See the Z-Wave Alliance website for more information.
