The Internet of Things (IoT) is the network of different everyday devices using an internet connection (usually WiFi). Controlling traditionally ‘dumb’ electronics, appliances and other devices is now possible thanks to the advances in IoT technology, combined with the rise of affordable, low-power, internet-connected microcontrollers.

Whether you want to turn off your home lighting with a smartphone, send alerts from sensors to other devices, start your coffee machine from your shower (!) – the possibilities are truly endless.
