There aren’t many projects in the maker world that don’t require power. Getting your power supply right is one of, if not the most, important factor of any electronics project.

There are two main factors to consider when selecting a power supply, and these are voltage and current (amps). Every microcontroller and component you use will have a rating for both.

Attempting to use a weaker power supply than the recommended spec can cause dropouts and instability, or your project may not run at all! Buying quality and correctly sized power supplies ensures a reliable, stable and safe source of juice for your projects.

Here at The Pi Hut, we stock a large selection of power supplies, power cables, batteries, connectors and switches. We also offer solar power options as well as power converters and measurement devices.
