The TP-LinkTL-SG1005LP is a 5-port Gigabit desktop switch with four PoE+ ports, able to send both data and power over a single cable. It works with IEEE 802.3af/at compliant powered devices and supports up to 30W per PoE port, with a total PoE budget of 40W across ports 1-4.
Being PoE+ and offering 30W on a single port, it's able to power a Raspberry Pi when combined with a PoE+ HAT!
It is plug and play, so there is no configuration or installation needed. If total power demand goes over 40W, intelligent power management cuts power to the lower-priority port first to protect the switch from overload while keeping higher-priority devices running. It also automatically detects the power required by connected PoE devices and helps protect both PoE and non-PoE equipment from damage.
For performance, it includes 802.1p/DSCP QoS for smoother latency-sensitive traffic and IGMP Snooping to optimise multimedia traffic delivery for applications such as IPTV. The switch has a durable metal casing, a compact desktop design, wall-mounting support and a fanless design. It features 5× 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports, 10 Gbps switching capacity and a 7.44 Mpps packet forwarding rate.
