If you've got a low voltage source, like a 3.7V lithium ion battery, but want to step up the voltage to 5V with a USB output, then this is the module for you! This nifty little board can take any input voltage from 0.9V to 5V (DC), and will output a steady 5V via the USB port! It's mainly designed for use in portable projects for stepping up the voltage from compact battery packs.
Just solder your source voltage onto the two terminals, and you'll be rewarded with a steady 5V supply via the USB terminal. It can take input voltages from 0.9V to 5V, and will output a maximum current of 600mA.
The board includes an input power LED, micro PFM control via a DC voltage step up controller IC, and a female USB port for voltage output.
