Qwiic and STEMMA QT
Explore our collection of Qwiic and STEMMA QT products - two solderless, plug-and-play I²C connection ecosystems designed to simplify prototyping and expand your electronics projects.
The Qwiic system by SparkFun and STEMMA QT by Adafruit both use a standard 4-pin JST SH connector with 1mm pitch, allowing easy I²C connectivity between sensors, displays, microcontrollers, and more.
These systems are cross-compatible, meaning you can mix and match boards and accessories from either ecosystem with no need for soldering or complex wiring. The connectors carry power, ground, data, and clock lines - making it simple to build modular projects quickly and cleanly.
What's the difference between STEMMA QT and Qwiic?
Whilst the connectors and pinout are identical, STEMMA QT supports both 3.3V and 5V logic with onboard level shifting, whereas Qwiic is usually strictly 3.3V. This is because the Qwiic ecosystem undertakes the level shifting on the main controller only (not on the various Qwiic sensors and devices).
