Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 64GB / 16GB / Wireless
I recently bought the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 (64GB / 16GB / Wireless) from Pi Hut, and I’m honestly impressed on multiple levels—starting with how small this thing actually is. You can see the specs online and know it's compact, but holding it in hand really highlights just how much tech is crammed into this module.
With 64GB of eMMC, 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and built-in Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, it’s a serious upgrade over the CM4. The performance bump is immediate and noticeable—boot times, application responsiveness, and overall throughput are just on another level.
What caught me off guard (in a good way) is how well it lends itself to custom PCB projects. I’m already thinking about integrating it into some smart home modules and automation setups. It’s basically a high-performance brain that you can drop into your own designs.
Of course, it’s worth noting that the CM5 uses a new high-speed connector and isn’t compatible with CM4 IO boards. But if you’re building something new—or ordering carrier boards tailored to the CM5—it’s well worth adapting.

Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 16GB / 8GB / Wireless
Super small but packed with features and together with onboard eMMC or SSD on IO board, it boots in under 20 seconds making this little board and the associated IO board a good basis for any number of compute requirements. It was up and running in under an hour. Purchase process was a breeze and Pi Hut delivered next day.

Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 Lite / 2GB / Wireless
It's fast, it's small, it's cute, it's a Compute Module 5! Seriously though, this thing kicks ass, and every time you look at it you get to alternately go "awww, it's so cute", or "when did computers get this small?"

Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 Lite / 2GB / Wireless
The Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 (CM5) is a powerful system-on-module designed for embedded applications, building on the capabilities of the Raspberry Pi 5. It features a quad-core Arm Cortex-A76 processor, dual 4Kp60 HDMI outputs, Gigabit Ethernet, and optional Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. With various RAM and eMMC flash options, including cost-effective 'Lite' versions, it's suitable for budget-conscious projects.
The CM5 boasts enhanced I/O interfaces for greater design flexibility and maintains the same form factor as the CM4 with two 100-pin high-density connectors for easy integration.
However, it can generate considerable heat during operation, so adequate cooling solutions are crucial for optimal performance. The CM5 is versatile for embedded projects, combining impressive features with firm performance.
