This Nano Base Board for CM5 is a compact carrier for all CM5 variants, featuring USB 3.2 Gen1, USB-C, microSD slot, dual MIPI, 40-pin GPIO, fan and RTC headers, BOOT button, and logic level selection.
The Nano Base Board (A) for CM5 is a compact IO board for the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5, matching the module’s footprint while providing the essential interfaces needed for development or integration. Despite its small size (55x40mm), it includes USB 3.2 Gen1, dual MIPI connectors, 40-pin GPIO (and a colour-coded header included), and power management features. No HDMI is available on this board.
It supports all CM5 variants and includes a slot for a MicroSD card, for Lite versions without eMMC. A USB-C port is used for both power input and flashing, with a BOOT button to trigger flash mode. A full-size USB-A port offers high-speed connectivity with up to 2A output.
The board also includes a 4-pin fan header, a header for an RTC battery, and dual-colour status LED. Developers can access special function pins for ETH sync and CM5 power control, and logic level selection between 3.3V and 1.8V.
If you don't need HDMI output, this is about as compact a carrier can get for your CM5!
