The Grove Turbidity Sensor is designed to measure the turbidity of water, detecting the concentration of suspended particles using optical sensing. It works by measuring the amount of light scattered between an optical transmitter and receiver, with turbidity levels affecting how much light is detected. The sensor uses the TSW-10 optical module to determine how clear or cloudy a liquid is.
It supports both analog and digital outputs, selectable via a switch on the board. In analog mode, the output value decreases as turbidity increases. In digital mode, the high/low threshold can be adjusted using the onboard sensitivity knob. This makes the sensor suitable for a range of conditions where variable water clarity needs to be measured.
The sensor features a Grove connector for easy plug-and-play integration and requires only three I/O pins. Its compact 2.0 × 4.0 cm form factor makes it easy to install in embedded or space-constrained systems.
The module comes with a Grove cable, ready to plug into your Grove-compatible microcontroller.
