The SupTronics XNAS1 is an industrial-style NAS enclosure built around the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5. It supports four 3.5" SATA hard drives with a total capacity of up to 88TB, based on 22TB per drive. An integrated PCIe Gen 3 x1 to four-port SATA 6Gbps bridge provides fast data transfer and supports software RAID for added data redundancy.
Both 1GbE and 2.5GbE ethernet ports are included for flexible network connectivity. CM5 Lite models can boot from a microSD card, while the USB-C port allows an operating system to be written directly to the eMMC storage of compatible CM5 variants.
Cooling is provided by a PWM-controlled 120mm fan with up to 63.7CFM airflow. The enclosure also features a stainless steel drive cage, vibration-dampening drive mounts and LED status indicators. It is compatible with openmediavault and other operating systems, making it suitable for file sharing, backups, private cloud storage and surveillance footage.
