The SupTronicsX1202 is aUPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) add-on board for Raspberry Pi 5, with support for four18650 cells(batteries not included), designed to deliver reliable backup power and improved power management. It delivers 5.1V 5A output to keep your Pi 5 running through power loss or adapter failures, with seamless switching between mains and backup power.
The features intelligent power management, automatically cutting power when the Pi shuts down to save battery. Auto power-on ensures the Pi restarts when power is restored, and safe software shutdown is also supported.
The 4-cell 18650 holder provides double the UPS run time capacity when compared to the 2-cell version. Fast charging is supported up to 3A, with protection against overcurrent, overvoltage, and reverse polarity. Battery charge levels can be monitored via onboard LEDs and I2C, thanks to the integrated Maxim fuel gauge.
Power is supplied via barrel jack (6-18V), USB-C (5V 5A) or XH2.54 input (6-18V). 5V outputs are provided via XH2.54 headers or USB-A ports.
The X1202 connects via pogo pins and mounts underneath the Raspberry Pi 5, leaving the 40-pin GPIO free for other accessories such as HATs or coolers.
Raspberry Pi, 18650 batteries, Active Cooler and power supply not included.
Safety Warning
Lithium Polymer (LiPo) and Li-ion batteries are volatile by nature. Failure to follow the safety instructions below may result in fire, personal injury, or property damage.
Never connect the battery with incorrect polarity when charging or discharging. Always double-check that the battery connector's "+" is connected to "+" and "−" to "−".
Do not mix old batteries with new ones, or use batteries from different brands together.
Do not use 18650 batteries with built-in protection circuits
Lithium batteries have a limited cycle life. Replace them when they reach the end of their service life, or after two years — whichever comes first.
When charging the battery pack, always place it in a fireproof container. Do not leave the UPS shield unattended on flammable surfaces such as wood or carpet.
Keep the UPS add-on out of reach of children.
