he R7FA4 PLUS B development board is based on the same RA4M1 32-bit microprocessor as the Arduino UNO R4 WiFi and uses a similar board style and layout.
The RA4M1 provides increased processing power, expanded memory, and additional peripherals. It is based on the Arm® Cortex®-M4 processor, with a main operating frequency of 48MHz. The board also features 256 kB of Flash and 32 kB of RAM.
Also onboard is an ESP32-S3 module, providing dual-mode 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE capabilities. This provides wireless communication and compatibility with Arduino IoT Cloud for remote monitoring and control.
For display and interactive projects, the board includes an onboard 12 x 8 red LED matrix, which is ideal for animations or displaying sensor data without the need for additional hardware. Additional features include a 12-bit DAC, CAN bus and operational amplifiers.
5V/3.3V headers make the integration of various expansion modules a lot easier. It also supports multiple power sources, including a USB-C connection or an external power supply ranging from 6V to 24V. For development purposes, the board comes with several LEDs including a power indicator, a user LED, and serial communication indicators (RX/TX).
Lastly, the inclusion of an ICSP interface, usable as an SPI interface, makes this board a flexible choice for developing advanced projects with enhanced connectivity and functionality. A USB-C cable is included.
