The CAN Unit is a compact CAN bus communication module with the TJA1051T chip, which offers high-speed data transmission capabilities and supports the CAN FD (Flexible Data Rate) protocol. It is also equipped with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection mechanisms, providing security and stability for data transmission.
It has a DC-DC power supply chip, accommodating a wide voltage input range of 5-24V, providing you with a stable and efficient CAN communication solution. Whether you are involved in automotive electronics, industrial automation, or communication systems, the Mini CAN Unit offers a reliable and flexible CAN communication solution.
A note from our customer
One of our lovely customers John H provided some feedback that may help others using this device:
"This unit comes with the termination resistor soldered, so if it's going to be used on a bus with more than two or 3 nodes these will need to be removed or you are outside of the Can Bus specifications of only having two at either ends"
It's an SMD resistor, so not an easy job unless you're good at that sort of thing!

Mini CAN Unit (TJA1051T/3)
Works exactly as expected.
A minor detail is that, as noted in the product description, the 120ohm resisitor is soldered onto the board. With a fine soldering iron, tweezers and a bit of bravery, you can pop it off and it's all good.
Some tests so far and it's been perfect.
