The Grove – Temperature and Barometer Sensor (SPA06-003) is a compact environmental sensor designed to provide accurate readings of both air pressure and temperature. It supports both I2C and SPI communication and includes an Arduino-compatible library for easy integration. The sensor operates at 3.3V and connects via the standard 4-pin Grove interface, making it compatible with platforms such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and micro:bit.
It can measure barometric pressure in the range of 300–1100 hPa with ±0.3 hPa accuracy and temperature from -40°C to +85°C with ±1°C accuracy. Thanks to its low-power design and support for FIFO mode, the module achieves standby current consumption as low as 0.5 μA, ideal for battery-powered or low-power applications.
The module’s I2C address defaults to 0x77. To change it to 0x76, disconnect the right two pads and solder the left two instead. For SPI operation, disconnect all three pads if you need to use address 0x76. The board comes pre-soldered and includes a Grove cable.
Note: The sensor is sensitive to environmental interference. Do not touch it directly with your fingers.
