This is the official FlightAware high-performance, omni directional antenna for receiving 1090MHz Mode S and ADS-B data from aircraft.

The antenna can be used outdoors, mounted on a mast that is 2.5cm to 4cm in diameter (not included), or installed indoors against a window. When properly installed without obstructions, the antenna can receive ADS-B data from aircraft up to 250mi / 400km away.

Mounting bracket and U-bolts included. Compatible with all ADS-B receivers including FlightFeeder, PiAware, Mode S Beast, Radarcape, Kinetic SBS1/SBS3, RTL Dongles, and more.

First rate service, very quick delivery Excellent product easy to set up ,after trying several other brands this is the best ,and despite living in a valley with 250 metre hills am now getting out to 137nm albeit at high altitude with the antenna on a upper window sill and getting more low level local traffic as well. Connected to a Flightaware Pro Plus USB SDR receiver.

Worked write out of the box. On my network analyser it has quite a sharp notch at 1090MHz and should offer good filtering to out of band signals. Up the pole and compared to my 9dBi dipole array signals were weaker, but then that was expected. It does however, seem to have full 360 degree coverage with little or no difference in gain. If you are not making an antenna and just want something to give good range straight out of the box then this is excellent value and a good performer.

The antenna is well built and offers a decent 200 nm range. I would have preferred a more robust clamping mechanism to the mast.

Installed to replace a "home brew" antenna, mounted slightly higher with better feeder improved the received range by around 50 miles. The service was excellent and the delivery very fast, the antenna itself seems of good quality and came with all needed to mount on a standard pole. Regards Martyn

What more can I say than Woot! I get well over 250 miles and that's with it just sitting in the attic, it's going up on the chimney over the next few days so I should pick up a hell of a lot more planes. Purchased to replace roof-mounted homebrew collinear. Terrific antenna with excellent results as expected., coupled to FA Pro Stick ADS-B dongle. Although presently mounted in the loft on long coax cable, nevertheless range up (130nm), message rates and signal strengths all greatly improved and plotting targets in areas not previously seen. Local traffic also visible down to lower levels. Overall, another excellent product from FA and would recommend.

Good antenna. Unfortunately is this (for now) my last purchase in the UK .Because of Brexit I now had to pay an additional import tax of more than €30 and that is a lot compared to the price of the antenna.
