The AtomS3R M12 is an IoT programmable controller equipped with an M12 camera, making it ideal for high-resolution image capture. It has a 3-megapixel OV3660 camera and is powered by the ESP32-S3-PICO-1-N8R8 main controller, which comes with built-in WiFi, 8MB of onboard FLASH, and 8MB of PSRAM. The device also includes a power management circuit that converts 5V to 3.3V, and it integrates a three-axis BMM150 geomagnetic sensor along with a six-axis BMI270 motion sensor to make it more versatile with different projects.

With UVC (USB Video Class) firmware pre-installed, the M12 functions as a plug-and-play USB camera, meaning it can be used without needing any driver installation. It also supports infrared emission control, adding more functionality to your projects.

Compared to previous ATOM series controllers, the AtomS3R M12 has an improved 3D antenna for enhanced performance and greater stability. It features a Type-C port for power supply and firmware updates, as well as an HY2.0-4P expansion port. For easy expansion, six GPIO and power pins are available at the bottom of the device.

Download Mode

To flash the firmware, press and hold the reset button (for about 2 seconds) until the internal green LED lights up, then release the button. The device will enter download mode and is ready for flashing.
