The RetroFlag GPi Case 2W is the new version of the original Game Boy-inspired GPi case with a number of improvements such as the larger IPS display with a greater 640x480 resolution, built-in 2800mAh Li-ion battery and new turbo/home buttons!

The GPi case 2W maintains the same great features as the original too, such as the handy power switch, L/R rear 'shoulder' buttons, brightness adjustment wheel, 3.5mm headphone jack, built-in speaker, volume control and awesome cartridge mounting system for your Pi Zero. There's even a USB port for firmware upgrades! We almost forgot to mention the unmistakable retro styling - a true homage to the original.

It's the best GPi case yet, and it'll work with your Raspberry Pi Zero, Zero W and the latest Zero 2W (naturally the Zero 2W will offer the best performance). Your Zero cannot have headers pre-soldered as the cases use pogo pins to connect to your board.

Note: for RetroPie and Recalbox, display patch installation is required to port HDMI display to GPIO for the case to work correctly.

Raspberry Pi Zero and MicroSD card not included

GPi Case 2W
Great case to build a retro gaming machine. I installed a Pi Zero 2 inside and then inserted the RecalBox SD card which booted straight in with no patches required. Nice and easy build for endless retro fun. Thanks again The Pi Hut..

GPi Case 2W
The screen is a good upgrade and even the sound sounds like a upgrade over the original Gpi case, the colours just pop, it retains all the great feel of the original but now even better.

GPi Case 2W
Awesome piece of kit, with a Pi Zero 2W it's more than capable of emulating that classic handheld experience and just about every console up until the 3D era too. Good screen quality, reasonable battery life, solid build. They only thing I'd change is it uses a bespoke charging cable when USB-C would've been fine.

GPi Case 2W
The case itself is very nice and feels solidly built with the extra benefit of a rechargeable battery. The only problem I had was figuring out how to install the Pi-Zero into the cartridge case. There were no written details just some confusing diagrams. But I got there in the end. I installed Recalbox which supports lots of emulations and includes at least one tryout game for each emulation. I am intending ti install a Pi Zero 2 W when they become available agin.
