The DMX Unit is a communication device specifically designed for DMX-512 data transmission projects. It has an integrated CA-IS3092W isolated half-duplex RS-485 transceiver, which gives electrical isolation protection up to 5kVrms, which provides safe and reliable communication. The unit also includes a 120Ω termination resistor switch, which matches the characteristic impedance of the signal transmission line to prevent signal reflection and distortion. This resistor can be easily connected or disconnected depending on how much you use it.
The DMX Unit communicates with the M5 host through serial communication using the Grove interface, and it is equipped with an XLR-3 female interface for easy connection to DMX devices. This makes it ideal for various projects, including stage lighting control, landscape lighting control, dimmer control, and other similar scenarios.
