This is our CR1220 breakout, allowing you to tap into ultra-compact, readily-available CR1220 coin cell batteries to power your project, with the flexibility to solder wires, headers and more, alongside M2.5 mounting options and underside soldering pads!
Simply push a tiny CR1220 battery into the holder, and you have access to 3V for your low-power or wearable projects. It's a smaller option compared to our CR2032 breakout, with the trade-off of lower capacity in CR1220 batteries.
There are, of course, only two outputs from a battery like this - 3V and GND - however we've doubled these up in case you're powering multiple devices, and to make it a bit more stable when using with headers in a breadboard project. The pads are 2.54mm-spaced and clearly labelled. You can solder whatever you like to these, such as the included 4-pin 2.54mm header strip (great for breadboard usage), some prototyping wire, or even an 4-way 2.54mm terminal block.
If you're soldering wires, consider using the underside solder pads. We added these because we know just how tricky it is to de-solder and re-solder a wire from a pad hole. With the underside pads, it's much, much easier to re-work and re-use.
We also used M2.5 mounting holes as they're a popular size with easy-to-source fixings...and because our chubbo fingers don't get on with fiddly M2 fixings.
