The new Seeed Grove - Temperature & Humidity Sensor V2 is based on the DHT20 sensor. The DHT20 is an upgraded version of the DHT11, compared with the previous version, the temperature and humidity measurement accuracy are higher, and the measurement range is larger. It features I2C output which means easier to use.
The DHT20 features a brand-new ASIC dedicated chip, an improved MEMS semiconductor capacitive humidity module, and a standard on-chip temperature element. Besides its performance, the efficiency of DHT20 has also improved over the previous generation, making it more cost-effective. Following the miniaturization and changes, the DHT20 is proven to be more robust in harsher conditions! DHT20 is also more versatile with its I2C signal which supports multiple masters.
With the wider and more precise range of measurement, the DHT20 will be more than suitable for various IoT uses, especially for cases such as precision farming and quality control. Each DHT20 sensor is factory calibrated and tested to ensure that it maintains its stable performance in the long term for the years to come.
