Raspberry Pi Roundup - 11th March 2015

MicroscoPi

The leader of the Purbeck STEM club took an Intel QX3 microscope toy and retro fitted it with a Raspberry Pi camera module. This required removing the lens from the module and then attaching it to the eye-piece of the QX3. Full instructions on how they did it are available here.

Wordpress

Russ Sanderlin has written a comprehensive tutorial for getting a PHP/NGINX stack working with WordPress on the Pi. Read it here.

Technobabble

Children’s technology show CBBC Technobabble came to Pi Towers recently. Reporter Frankie Vu interviewed the Foundation’s Carrie Anne Philbin in which she introduced the Pi and lots of cool stuff you can do with it, like build a weather station or a robot. Check out the Foundation’s blog post here or go here to see the programme.
