Shelly PM Mini Gen3
What an amazing product, I simply can't believe all the features it has. It is so small and in "ECO" mode produces very little heat (although in non-eco in can get quite warm). It has a web page, scripting, MQTT, Wifi, Bluetooth, Websockets. and connects to an NTP server of your choice Perfect for Home Assistant, although I had to write a script to get it to zero the energy counters at midnight to get a daily energy count. Note the Shelly integration in Home Assistant for me gave readings every 5 minutes but the MQTT was in seconds. I didn't want to use the Shelly cloud (which works ok and free for the first couple of devices) I used everything as standalone or within my local network - worked great!!!

Shelly PM Mini Gen3
This was bought to replace a Earu (Tuya) Smart Metering Breaker that I either had to run via a "chinese cloud" or with the the "flaky" local "tinytuya" interface. (Not sure if this was the fault of "tinytuya" or the breaker itself.) The Shelly was delivered very promptly by the Pi Hut, well packaged and straightforward to install. It is very small - smaller than I expected - it easily fitted into a spare space in my CU. Seems to run cool, even with 8 to 10A running through it. Shelly App is somewhat frustrating, in that the "free" version, seems to limit you to two graphs per unit and these are not "customisable", in that they provide Power (kWh) and Voltage against time (30min slots) but these seem "fixed". I would have liked to seem a graph of "amperage" going thru the relay, instead of a "voltage" but cannot customise either of the "stock" graphs or add another. (Maybe this available in the "pay" version of app but I don't want onward expense to monitor what is a very small part of my home automation.) Also the app is very much geared to having a suite of Shelly products, which I cannot afford. However, the API works, so am using a python service on my Pi to feed all the data I need into my local database and can draw all the graphs I want from there! All-in-all, its early days, but seems to be a good product to do the job I need.

Shelly PM Mini Gen3
A great product which I'm using to monitor power consumption on my tumble dryer within Home Assistant. I went for this particular device because I don't need or want the ability to remotely switch power off, only to monitor usage.
The Shelly Cloud ecosystem is also really good. I can monitor power and historic graphs over the internet or within the app which is a good alternative to monitoring via Home Assistant.
I wired my Shelly inline on the power cable as seen in the attached image using a 3D printed case as it wouldn't fit behind my single socket 25mm back box with an MK socket, even though it is one of the smallest of these types of devices that I've used. A 35mm box will be fine.

Shelly PM Mini Gen3
This little thing works brilliantly. It's what I had been looking for, allowing me to measure the consumption of equipment that should never be turned off. And the interface to set up and control, as well as the integration with Home Assistant, are simply brilliant.
