The Shelly Bypass is required for Shelly devices that do not need neutral wire to operate if the load they switch is less than 20W at240VAC, such as the Shelly Dimmer Gen3 and earlier models such as Shelly 1L, Shelly 2L and Shelly Dimmer 2.
The bypass should be connected parallel to the load as seen in the product user guide.

Do not connect the device to appliances exceeding the given max load.
Use the device only with a power grid and appliances which comply with all applicable regulations. Short circuit in the power grid or any appliance connected to the device may damage the device.
Before starting, wire check that the breakers are turned off and there is no voltage on their terminals. This can be done with a phase meter or multimeter. When you are sure that there is no voltage, you can start wiring the cables.
