This mini camera module for the Raspberry Pi 4/3/2 is just 35mm tall yet packs a 5MP OV5647 sensor capable of still images up to 2592x1944 and video up to 1920x1080!
The module uses a full-size 15-pin connection which is compatible with Raspberry Pi 4/3/2 boards. Not compatible with Raspberry Pi 5 or Zero.
The short size makes it handy for compact Raspberry Pi photography projects, custom 3D printed cases or just simply playing with the various camera commands with your bare board - without the need for a camera case.
You can use this module with the usual standard Raspberry Pi camera libraries such as libcamera and raspicam (legacy) - it works in the same way as the Official Raspberry Pi Camera Module. Use it to shoot videos, take still images, stream live video, create time-lapses and more! This means it will also work with popular Raspberry Pi camera projects such as OctoPrint and others.
The camera comes with two foam gaskets with tape on both sides for mounting your camera creatively!
This module cannot be used with the Raspberry Pi Zero unless you use a 15-pin camera cable joiner along with a Zero camera adapter which gets a bit clunky, so you should probably just check out the ZeroCam range instead!.
