Introducing the Hat mPCIe from Pineboards - an add-on board for your Raspberry Pi 5 that offers an mPCIe slot for use with Mini PCIe devices, such as network cards. It also includes a USB-C 2.0 connection and nano sim slot for cellular applications.
This board is designed to be mounted underneath your Raspberry Pi 5.
Note: Please check the pinout of your device to make sure that it is compatible and PCIe lines are not used for something that is not covered by the standard. Some cellular modems only use USB, for example Quectel places an active-low reset signal on one of the PCIe control signals. For USB-Only device please use a ribbon cable with "USB" marking under the Pineboards logo.

No drives are required for PCIe on Raspberry Pi 5, however the device you insert might need additional configuration. We recommend regularly updating the firmware to benefit from constantly improving PCIe compatibility.
