This sensor is based on Sensirion's SFA30 and has formaldehyde sensing with minimal interference from other VOCs, like ethanol. This sensor is ideal for use in air conditioners, air purifiers, and smart ventilation systems, especially in new homes where air quality is important. An onboard SHT sensor also provides accurate humidity and temperature readings, making it a comprehensive choice for indoor air monitoring. It is compatible with Arduino (With a Grove - Base Shield) or Raspberry Pi (Only with the Grove-Base HAT)
The sensor has a wide detection range for formaldehyde (0 to 1000 ppb) and is built to maintain consistent accuracy over time. Its patented electrochemical cell and anti-dry technology give it a six-year service life, so it performs reliably in various conditions. Thanks to advanced algorithms, the built-in Sensirion RHT sensor adjusts for changes in temperature and humidity, which enhances the sensor's stability and accuracy in different indoor settings.
With a Grove-compatible port, the sensor is easy to set up and integrates easily with other Grove modules, allowing for a straightforward "Plug and Play" experience. Designed with a modular approach, the sensor standardizes connectors and uses electrochemical sensing technology from SENSIRION, optimized to reduce false alarms and provide precise readings. It operates on low power, making it suitable for battery-powered setups, and is factory-calibrated for easy connection via I2C or UART interfaces. The Grove Formaldehyde Sensor is a dependable and user-friendly solution for anyone seeking high-quality formaldehyde and environmental monitoring.
