With complete electrical isolation for preventing electromagnetic interference, this module runs at 2000000 baud at any time within a distance of up to 10km (absolute maximum, your mileage may vary depending on your setup). It features lightning protection and can share cable trunking with strong power. Also, users can use it with a passive optical splitter to realize one-to-many star networking.

Gravity: UART Fiber Optic Transceiver Module
Worked brilliantly, and as expected. My only issue is it is hard to tell which is tx and rx for the fibre connections. But no real harm if you get it wrong, and it will show bad link until you swap them over.
