This IR thermal camera module captures infrared radiation and converts it into a thermal image. This lets you detect heat signatures and temperature variations in the area. It has an ESP32-S3-WROOM-1 Xtensa 32-bit LX7 dual-core processor that goes up to 240MHz main frequency. It supports 2.4GHz WiFi (802.11 b/g/n) and Bluetooth 5 (LE), with an onboard antenna.
There is 16MB of flash memory, a USB-C connector for power, burning and debugging and for a project that's on the go, there is a 3.7V MX1.25 lithium battery recharge/discharge header. There is also an app (Android Only) you can download that lets you set WiFi parameters through Bluetooth. Click here for the app setup guide
The Bluetooth app is only used for configuring parameters such as the module's IP and device name. It does not support viewing thermal images.
Two variants are available - Basic 45° FOV or Wide Angle 90° FOV. Please select an option before adding it to your cart!
Please note: this board uses a tiny MX1.25 connector for LiPo power. Most LiPo batteries on the market (including ours) use a larger JST fitting. We do not yet stock batteries with an MX1.25 connector, however, you can customise your battery with one of our 1.25mm pitch cables to make a compatible battery yourself (assuming you have the ability, knowledge and tools to do this safely).
