A compact USB-C ESP32-C6-based development offering 2.4GHz Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5, combined with an LCD display and a host of other features including an IMU, amp & speaker, LiPo port, RTC and more!
This development board from Waveshare is based around an Espressif ESP32-C6, which combines a high-performance 32-bit RISC-V processor with clock speed up to 160 MHz, and a low-power 32-bit RISC-V processor with clock speed up to 20MHz. It offers integrated WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5 and IEEE 802.15.4 (Zigbee 3.0 and Thread) wireless communication.
The ESP32-C6 runs 320KB ROM, 512KB HP SRAM and 16KB LP SRAM, with an additional 16MB flash on the board to support this. Program the chip via the USB-C port, assisted with the onboard RST and BOOT buttons.
The front of the board holds the 1.69" IPS LCD display, with 262K colours and a 240x280 resolution, driven by a ST7789V2 chip via SPI. It does not support touch input, however we sell a version that does.
A PicoBlade-compatible/MX1.25 LiPo port is onboard (battery not included), with an onboard charge circuit that keeps your battery charged when plugged in to USB-C power. We stock a range of Picoblade-compatible LiPo batteries in the store - just be sure to check and/or adjust polarity as this can vary from board to board.
You'll also find a 6-axis IMU providing a 3-axis gyroscope and a 3-axis accelerometer on the board, a real-time clock (RTC), and an audio amplifier to drive the included 6Ω 1W speaker, with a microphone also onboard to support audio projects with input.
