DIY HDMI Cable Parts - Straight HDMI Socket

I needed a short HDMI cable with a low profile right angled connector to fit a 5inch LCD display that had limited access in the enclosure I was fitting it in. Combined with Right Angle (R bend) HDMI Plug & HDMI Ribbon cable this proved the ideal solution and works perfectly. (all ready made cables were too thick and the connectors too bulky). If this is your first time using this type of connector there are a couple of things to note: 1. The black tabs on the ribbon cable connector needs to be pulled gently out. This is the retainer clip for the ribbon cable. 2. On looking at the ribbon cable the visible traces at the end of the cable need to be upwards. 3. Push the cable gently into the connector 4. Gently push the retaining clamp back into the connector on the pcb. Done.

Works a treat. Very small profile, fit nicely inside an old Amiga.
