This add-on DAC module for the Argon ONE V3 case allows you to enjoy high-quality premium audio performance with your Raspberry Pi 5 - designed to be the perfect companion for audiophiles, hobbyists, and professionals alike.

Powered by the Texas Instruments PCM5122 digital audio codec (DAC), the module leads out through the Argon ONE V3's 3.5mm jack port, which then feeds into the included Ground Loop Isolator to prevent the transmission of unwanted noise or hum in the audio.

Two cables are included - a 3.5mm jack to 3.5mm jack for between the case and Ground Loop Isolator, and a 3.5mm jack to RCA cable for connecting to your audio equipment.

This setup provides full high definition 24-bit 192kHz audio from your Raspberry Pi 5.

Argon BLSTR DAC with Ground Loop Isolator for Argon One V3
The install was very simple, literally just plug it in and run Argons commands to install and setup the required software. I haven't as yet had any need to deviate from their standard settins, as the sound is great as it is. The pricepoint is decent, delivery was fine, everything was good about this sale

Argon BLSTR DAC with Ground Loop Isolator for Argon One V3
I installed the software and hardware, The DAC appeared as a device in the sound device ray and was selectable but no sound ever came from it. It was reurned a week ago and I have still heard nothing - this time from the PiHut about its status

Argon BLSTR DAC with Ground Loop Isolator for Argon One V3
This DAC is specifically designed for the Argon One V3 M.2 NVME Raspberry Pi 5 Case, although it may fit other Argon40 cases. It employs the Texas Instruments PCM5122 chip which is a higher spec. than the usual TI PCM5100 in other DACs. The Argon One case has a 3.5mm socket at its rear and a header that connects to this board. The way the board fits inside the case leaves all the GPIO pins accessible, although i have not worked out if it uses one of the hardware I2C pins on the GPIO. It comes with an audio isolating transformer to eliminate the Ground connection noise (Ground Loop Noise) from the Pi5. I use it with all the Raspberry Pis that I have added a DAC to. It is good value when everything is considered.
