Based on OmniVision’s OV9281 high-speed global shutter image sensor, Arducam's OV9281 camera module is now released for the Raspberry Pi family, allowing you to capture moving objects with clarity and precision, with the small footprint of this module!
The package now includes two different FPC cables for use with different boards, including Pi 5 and Zero!
It features best-in-class near-infrared (NIR), quantum efficiency (QE), and a V2-like form factor, meeting high-resolution and low-latency requirements - widely used in consumer and industrial computer vision applications, including augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), collision avoidance in drones, bar code scanning, factory automation and many more scenarios.
Please note that this camera uses a narrower 22-pin connector (the same used on the Pi Zero). This will make many of our longer alternative camera cables incompatible.
Arducam OV9281 Monochrome Global Shutter Camera Module for Raspberry Pi
This is a great, well-supported monochrome camera for the RPi. There have not been many good options for monochrome cameras in general, which is why people try scratching the bayer filter off color cameras to get one. I'm using this for an openflexure microscope project.
