Antex XS25 Soldering Iron (UK Plug)

Pretty good beginner iron! However if you’re using a fan nearby to it, the tip gets cold quickly and doesn’t melt solder.

Bought this after struggling with a "beginners" kit from another retailer. I'm so glad I got this. It's a solid well made iron, works well and does the job. The silicone flex is really good and the tip is sized very well. True it doesn't have extra stuff like an on/off switch or temperature control but I didn't find that a hindrance, just plug it in and wait a short while for it to heat up, then you're good to go. I struggled to see how I would change the tip (not that I needed to) but it just slides off (with some twisting and effort). I last soldered about 20 years ago but with this iron I picked it back up really easily. I'd recommend this iron for beginners. It's much better value for money than those cheaper beginner kits you see elsewhere and much much better quality.

Works No solder holder/threader No on/off switch. Wasn’t sure on how to use it, found out it heats up as soon as plugged in. The most normal soldering iron

This is a great soldering iron. I've had one of them for 38 years, and although I bought a temperature controlled soldering iron a couple of years ago I'm still keeping this one as a back-up.

Heated up quickly and got the job done. Nice flexible cable, makes everything easier.

Got the soldering iron for a small Christmas project I was putting together, and all worked as expected. did get some additional equipment as well.
