By designing the bit to wrap around the heating element, maximum heat is transferred into the bit, and little heat is lost to the environment meaning the iron heats up quickly and maintains its temperature consistently during use.

This version of the XS25 uses a Silicone cable which is more flexible and generally more heat/burn-proof than the PVC cable version.

Don't forget to grab a soldering iron stand, some solder and a tip cleaner!
