This ADC V1.1 Unit has the ADS1110 chip, a 16-bit, self-calibrating analog-to-digital converter. It supports an I2C interface, providing easy connectivity. It provides options for conversion speeds of 8, 16, 32, and 128 samples per second (SPS), corresponding to resolutions of 16, 15, 14, and 12 bits, respectively, to cater to different accuracy needs.
It includes an on-chip programmable gain amplifier (PGA) with a maximum gain of 8, allowing it to directly measure weak signals. Additionally, the ADS1110 chip features an internal reference voltage of 2.048V, adjustable via configuration registers for high-resolution measurements. This unit is utilised across various industries, including industrial process control, factory automation, and portable instrumentation.
