High-accuracy Sensirion SHT31-D temperature and humidity sensor with true I2C, ±2% RH and ±0.3 °C accuracy, PTFE filter, and STEMMA QT/Qwiic compatibility for fast, solderless projects.
Sensirion temperature and humidity sensors are widely regarded as some of the most accurate and reliable available, and the SHT31-D is no exception. This high-performance sensor offers ±2% relative humidity accuracy and ±0.3 °C temperature accuracy, making it ideal for a wide range of environmental monitoring applications. This version includes a PTFE protective filter, helping keep the sensor clean while still allowing accurate humidity measurements.
Unlike earlier Sensirion devices, the SHT31-D features a true I2C interface, making communication simple and reliable. It also supports two selectable I2C addresses, allowing multiple sensors to be used on the same bus. With 3 V and 5 V compatibility, it works seamlessly with most microcontrollers and single-board computers.
To make integration quick and easy, the sensor is mounted on a custom-designed breakout PCB with the required pull-up resistors and capacitors already included. The board uses the STEMMA QT form factor, with connectors on both sides that are fully compatible with SparkFun Qwiic cables. This allows for solderless connections to your development board or easy daisy-chaining with other I2C sensors and accessories. (QT cable not included.)
Each unit ships as a fully assembled and tested breakout board, along with a small length of 0.1″ header. The header can be soldered on for use with breadboards or perfboard, and installation is quick and beginner-friendly.
Detailed documentation is available, covering pinouts, assembly, wiring, testing, and example usage, so you can get up and running quickly.
