This 3.7" ePaper HAT makes the most of the Raspberry Pi footprint to bring you as much ePaper real-estate for your project as possible, and can display red, yellow, black and white!
The HAT features a 3.7" ePaper display with the panel measuring ~93mm x 53mm, sitting on a full-size PCB with a 40-pin GPIO connector on the rear. The display offers 170° viewing angles, a 416x240 resolution, and can show four colours - red, yellow, black and white.
Refresh time is around 20 seconds for a full refresh, and 12 seconds for a 'fast refresh'. As with all ePaper displays, it uses very little power - <0.01uA (almost nothing) when in standby, and around <30mW when refreshing.
The display is controlled via SPI from the GPIO pins, however you can also use this with 3.3V or 5V dev boards and microcontrollers via the MX1.25 9-pin connector, and a cable assembly is included to help you do this. Waveshare also include standoffs to secure the HAT to your Raspberry Pi.
The online wiki provides sample/demo code in both C and Python for the Raspberry Pi, as well as Arduino/ESP/STM32 examples for other dev boards.
