Official OSMC Raspberry Pi Case Assembly Instructions
The laser-cut parts of the case are protected by an adhesive film which needs to be removed before assembly.
Bill of Materials
- Raspberry Pi B+/2/3
- 8x Black Acrylic Pieces
- 2x Clear Acrylic Pieces
- 4x M3 Screws
- 4x M3 Nuts
NOTE: Acrylic is a hard and stiff plastic which is sensitive to stress concentrations and shares a certain level of fragility with glass. Acrylic can scratch easily and should be cleaned with a mild solution of dish detergent and warm water. Never use cleaners unsuitable for acrylic. Never use a dry, abrasive cloth.
Here are the parts from the case kit:
Follow these images checking parts and orientation of the acrylic pieces. You will see a before and after image for each step. Make sure you have all the parts ready, shown in the before picture.
Start with the bottom clear piece aligned as shown in the picture. Then place the black acrylic piece labeled "1" (bottom left corner) on top of the clear piece. Place number "2" on top of number "1". Then place your Pi in the center of the stack.
Now keep stacking the black pieces on top in numerical order, until you get to number "6".
With number "6" placed on the stack, if you want to add a ribbon cable, now is the time to do so.
Continue stacking the black pieces on top in numerical order.
Finally place the top clear plate on top, press the M3 screws through each of the mounting holes in the corners and secure on the underside of the case with the M3 nuts.
