MKR1000 Zebra Case Assembly Instructions
The laser-cut parts of the case are protected by an adhesive film which needs to be removed before assembly.
Bill of Materials
- Genuino MKR1000
- 7x Acrylic plates
- 4x M3 x 25mm Bolt
- 4x M3 Nut
NOTE: Acrylic is a hard and stiff plastic which is sensitive to stress concentrations and shares a certain level of fragility with glass. Acrylic can scratch easily and should be cleaned with a mild solution of dish detergent and warm water. Never use cleaners unsuitable for acrylic. Never use a dry, abrasive cloth.

Follow these images checking parts and orientation of the acrylic pieces. You will see a before and after image for each step. Make sure you have all the parts ready, shown in the before picture.
Start by pressing the MKR1000 board into the middle of the thing clear surround acrylic plate.
Then stack the pictured pieces, starting the the thick clear plate on the bottom, followed by the black plate, followed by the MKR1000 (with surround) on top.
Now stack the pictured pieces in the following order: Start with the MKR1000 (with surround), then place the thick black plate with its seperate corner piece on top. Then the thin clear plate, followed by the second black plate, followed finally by the thick clear plate.
Finally, we need to secure the pieces together with the supplied bolts and nuts. Start by inserting the bolt down into the corner that has the little corner piece, and secure underneath with the nut. Repeat for the remaining corners.
OPTIONAL: Trim the excess length off the bolts. Simply use a pair of scissors or a sharp knife.
