Oak Ridge National Laboratory has developed a 9-node supercomputer with Raspberry Pis, and have documented their efforts in a series of repositories on
GitHub.

Keeping it simple
If you've ever set-up a Raspberry Pi and wanted to install some software without much effort Jose Cerrejon may have the solution for you. He's created something called PiKiSS which is a series of scripts, and a menu system, to enable you to do simple tasks like installing software and configuring options.
