Updated for the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 and now complete with a heatsink, the Zebra Zero GPIO Case offers ultimate protection with distinction whilst offering access to your Zero 2's GPIO pins and passive cooling!

This case is not compatible with earlier Zero models!

This is a fantastic-looking compact case with access to all ports. The clear top and bottom provide a great view of the board while maintaining a low profile with the help of custom made C4Labs nuts.

A benefit of the C4 nuts is that they can accept a bolt from either end so if you installed a HAT or pHAT, it can be secured to the nuts on the other side. A straight or angled GPIO header can be installed on either side of the board with the GPIO case and able to fit a full GPIO cable connector from either side.

If you don't need access to the GPIO, check out this heatsink-only version.

Case would have been perfect for what I wanted but the first pack I received the screws were defective. PiHut quickly replaced the case (kudos) but the replacement was also defective. I have returned to PiHut for a refund. Very dissapointed with the product - very content with the PiHut.

This is a neat little case, but the instruction card related to a different -- perhaps earlier -- version with differing parts. Some headscratching and an additional spacer (plastic washer) were required to complete the assembly. Six spacers were needed but only five were included.

Quite fiddly to build with verry small pices, of which 2 were missing.

Neat clean case for Pi Zero. Easy to assemble and looks pretty cool - love the contrasting black middle layer. Provides reasonable protection for the Pi and allows for easy access to the GPIO and TV pins from either the top or bottom of the case. There is some ventilation through the case but there is really no room to fit a heatsink so may not be so suitable if you want to overclock or drive your Pi very hard. I used this with a Pi Zero W and have not had any overheating issues. There are some weird holes in the bottom layer which line up with the connectors - not sure what these are for. Obviously if you solder headers onto your Pi, there needs to be space for the header pins to protrude through the reverse side of the board. Because of this, there is an aperture for the GPIOs underneath the Pi as well as on the top - this, of course, also allows for mounting the header pins on the underside. One disadvantage is that this does render the GPIOs slightly less safe than I would have liked - it would be possible to short out pins if you were slightly careless and it happened to rest the Pi on something metallic. If I was to suggest an improvement it would be to turn a thinner version of the current bottom layer into a shim and provide both a solid base and a fenestrated base as an option to keep the underside better protected. This is more of an issue to me as I am poking it into inaccessible places to run as a headless debugging server.
