The Seeed Wio-E5-LE mini Dev Board features the Wio-E5-LE (STM32WLE5JC) module, offering LoRa and (G)FSK support with transmission ranges up to 10km on EU868 and US915 bands. Compact and ultra–low power, it’s ideal for battery-powered IoT and sensor networks. With built-in AT command firmware and full GPIO access, it enables quick LoRaWAN® prototyping and efficient long-range wireless development.


The Seeed Wio-E5-LE mini Dev Board integrates and provides access to the full GPIO capabilities of the Wio-E5-LE Wireless Module (STM32WLE5JC). With support for long range protocols and global frequencies, the Wio-E5-LE mini can achieve a transmission range up to 10km in open areas. It supports EU868 and US915, making it well-suited for wireless sensor networks and other IoT devices requiring battery power, low power consumption, and long range connectivity.

The compactly-sized Wio-E5-LE mini development board enables rapid testing and building of small prototypes, helping you design your ideal long-range wireless IoT device. This ultra-compact module has extremely low power consumption and supports both (G)FSK and LoRa. With its built-in AT command firmware, the Wio-E5-LE mini simplifies prototype and application development. It easily supports LoRaWAN® protocols and various frequency plans, making it an ideal solution for long-range sensor nodes and wireless communication applications. The energy-saving design of this module makes it an ideal candidate for a wide range of applications that require minimized power usage.

  • Connect Wio-E5-LE mini to another mainboard via UART and control it using AT commands sent through the UART connection: For example, connect Wio-E5-LE mini to Seeed Studio XIAO and the Expansion Board via UART, and send AT commands and read data from Seeed Studio XIAO through Arduino IDE serial monitor.
  • User Application Development by using SDK: Develop your own Long Range development board with MCU function by using STM32Cube Programmer, which is the SDK officially provided by STMicroelectronics.
