The ThirdRealityZigbee Water Leak Sensor is a compact, floor-mounted leak detector designed for use in places like kitchens, laundry rooms, basements, bathrooms, or under sinks and water heaters. Setup is straightforward with no wiring required — just place it on a flat surface where leaks are likely to occur. It runs on two AAA batteries (included) and has a built-in 120 dB alarm that works even without an internet connection or Zigbee hub.
When a leak is detected, the sensor sounds its loud local alarm and can also send app and email notifications through the Third Reality app once set up (or do your own thing with your Zigbee-enabled home automation system). The alarm is loud enough to be heard across floors, making it suitable for basements or less frequently visited areas. In the app, you can view real-time status, battery level, event history, and rename sensors to clearly identify where a leak has occurred.
The sensor uses Zigbee and is compatible with Home Assistant, SmartThings, Aeotec, and more. Battery life is rated at up to three years, batteries are easy to replace, and OTA firmware updates are supported.
