The ThirdRealityZigbee Smart Watering Kit is a battery or USB-powered indoor drip watering system for potted plants, designed to work without taps or sockets. It connects to compatible Zigbee-enabled home automation systems such as Home Assistant, allowing control and visibility via your smart home.
The built-in controls let you switch watering on or off, while the screen shows watering duration from 10 seconds to 16.5 minutes and frequency from 1 to 30 days. Water flow can be adjusted using the water dropper at the plant. When paired with the ThirdReality soil moisture sensor (sold separately) it can water automatically once the pre-set moisture level is detected.
The system runs on four AA batteries (not included) or via USB-C using the included cable, and gives a low-battery warning by flashing red twice in the top-left corner.
An anti-backflow valve helps prevent siphoning, and on Home Assistant using ZHA or Z2M, a flow restriction safeguard detects low or blocked water. If no water is detected for 20 seconds, a “low water” alert appears. Use clean water, clean the filter head regularly, and connect plants with similar watering needs to the same device.
The kit includes enough parts for watering two plants. To water more plants, grab theaccessories kit for additional tubing, T-connectors, drippers, stakes and filters.
