The Seeed A10 Solar Radiation Shield is designed to protect outdoor sensors from solar radiation and precipitation, helping maintain accurate and reliable data. It can be used with a wide range of sensors, including air temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, CO₂, NO₂, PM2.5, PM10 and other gas sensors. Outdoor temperature sensor housing is one of its most common applications.
Built for outdoor use, the shield offers strong durability, low thermal conductivity, UV resistance and good flexibility, making it suitable for harsh environments. It acts as a protective barrier around the sensor, reducing measurement errors caused by sunlight, reflected heat or weather exposure.
The shield’s layered geometry helps block direct sunlight as well as reflected radiation from the ground, while also offering protection from wind, rain and snow. At the same time, the design allows air to flow freely through the plates, ensuring the sensors remain well-ventilated and able to deliver accurate readings. Its structure also makes it easy to integrate with a wide variety of sensor types.
