This SIM7000C Arduino NB-IoT/LTE/GPRS expansion shield is a wireless communication module based on the SIMCom SIM7000C. It is designed for Arduino controllers and supports multi-frequency LTE-FDD communication, dual-frequency GPRS/EDGE communication, and NB-IoT communication. Whether for prototype development or small-batch production, the SIM7000C Arduino NB-IoT/LTE/GPRS expansion shield is an ideal solution for projects requiring low power consumption, low latency, and moderate throughput. Additionally, the module features onboard GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) and supports various navigation systems, including American GPS, Russian GLONASS, European Galileo, Japanese QZSS, and Chinese BeiDou. It is widely applicable to IoT applications such as long-distance control, movement tracking, long-distance data uploading, and shared bikes.
The SIM7000C Arduino NB-IoT/LTE/GPRS expansion shield synchronously supports both SIM cards and NB-IoT cards. A common SIM card can be plugged in to perform traditional GSM functions, such as making a phone call and sending a message. An NB-IoT card can also be plugged in to provide NB-IoT data transmission.
Note: The onboard BEM280 sensor is removed from the SIM7000 series expansion shield V2.0 and later.
