This PoE RJ45 Ethernet Module transmits bi-directional transparent data between RS485 and the RJ45 ethernet connection. It has many forms of communication, including TCP Server / TCP Client / UDP Mode / UDP Multicast. There is a more flexible conversion between different protocols with its MQTT/JSON To Modbus feature and a Modbus gateway support that is suitable for a Modbus gridding upgrade, that can be used with specific configuration software.
With its multi-configuration methods, NTP protocol support (used to synchronize with computer clock time sources in a network) Multi hosts roll-polling support, screw terminals for power support, a rail mount case design to combine multi-rail mounted serial servers together, and small in size for easy installation. This module is great for your transmitting and communication needs.
Features
- Support TCP server, TCP client, UDP mode, and UDP multicast. When acting as a TCP client, it also supports TCP server-side functions. Supports 30 TCP connections as a TCP server and 7 destination IPs as a TCP client.
- The baud rate supports 1200~115200bps, the data bit supports 5~9 bits, and the check digit can be no check, odd check, even check, mark, or space.
- Support the function of sending MAC address when the device is connected, which is convenient for cloud management of the device.
- Provides a secondary development kit DLL development library for searching and configuring devices on the computer side.
- Web browser configuration, support DHCP to obtain IP dynamically, and DNS protocol to connect domain name server address.
- Cloud remote search for devices, the configuration of device parameters, and device program upgrades.
- Remote viewing of the device's TCP connection status, and serial port data sending and receiving status through software. The virtual serial port
- Supports the data monitoring function.

RS485 to RJ45 Ethernet Module with PoE
Excellent, used for my FoxESS inverter to get data into Home Assistant (with Nathan Marlor's custom integration).
Easy to setup so long as you follow the Github docs closely. A little annoying that the VirCom application is only available for windows and the web interface isn't really a replacement (e.g. if trying to find the device when it's in a different subnet to then change it!).
Seems to be working well, fits nicely into a Wylex 2 module DIN enclosure (available from Screwfix code 32311).

RS485 to RJ45 Ethernet Module with PoE
It is early days but, so far, looks promising tested within a simulation environment.
Quick delivery in proper packaging as usual.
