What do we have here? A Raspberry Pi Zero 1.3 with a header pre-soldered but with no WiFi or Bluetooth?! What is this thing?!

After having a good sort out of the warehouse we came across a box of these "FrankenZero" boards. Essentially they're a Zero 1.3 (the version before the WiFi-enabled models) with a professionally-soldered header.

The 1.3 Zero came with a camera port so, in a way, these are a bit like a Zero WH just without the WiFi and Bluetooth. They're a good option if your project doesn't need internet access or Bluetooth but you like the idea of not having to solder a header!

The raspberry pi0 is a great device and allows experimentation and exploration at a low cost. I used it to build a cluster along with the Cluster HAT and they work really well.

Cant honestly say enought about these little machines. The plan for this one is a second processor in my Acorn BBC B.

My Order was processed Quickly & Efficiently, no issues at all. I plan to use ALL three of them as 2nd / Co processor(s) to the BBC Micro Model B and/or BBC Master128! I chose the kit version where the Raspberry Pi is external BUT underneath, as this reduces the desk space / clutter and leaves space inside the case for other upgrades and hopefully less heat too!! TWO other options exist ( see link, please note i'm NOT linked to the seller and paid the standard rate(s) for them plus shipping to the UK from Norway ) Also note other suppliers of :- " PiTubeDirect " boards are available, from time to time on eBay, etc, etc. https://www.sundby.com/index.php/project/pitubedirect/ I DON'T need Bluetooth or WiFi BUT do need the header pins! for this project. .. ... The fact I could get all THREE at the same time is wonderful!
