Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2
The product itself is very good, clear display and the touch response is good. Seems well made.
The latest Pi Bookworm OS recognises the display and works well, but Bookworm has no built in ability to fully support the touch response. For instance the mouse pointer remains visible and interferes. There are work arounds but not easy. The documentation completely ignores the touch interface!

The Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2 is a fantastic display, especially considering the price. It’s perfect for DIY projects, and I’ve been using it as a dashboard for Home Assistant to monitor and control my smart home in real-time.
I did run into a minor issue with rotating the touch input to match the screen’s orientation, but thanks to some help from ChatGPT, I was able to fix it easily. Now it works perfectly, making it a great addition to my Home Assistant setup. Overall, it’s an affordable and high-quality option for anyone looking to enhance their Raspberry Pi projects!

Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2
Great value for money and perfect for the kiosk project I’m using it for. The colour reproduction isn’t perfect - but for the price I’m not complaining.
Only criticism is that I’d like to use it more like a phone/tablet screen so I’d e.g. swipe to scroll down pages, rather than needing to touch the browser scrollbar. But as far as I can tell I think this is a limitation/challenge in Raspian and/or Chromium, not the screen itself.

Connected up and working straight ot of the box but did require a bit of tweaking in the raspberry config, still haven't managed to get the display to show the desktop menu bar so more config tweaking is required but happy with progress so far

Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2
The RPi5 touch display 2 is good, i like it and it makes for a little bit more self-sufficiency. However, is it labwc or whatever the composer for Bookworm OS, it works as a very basic touch display. I still am learning all the intricacies of the OS and Linux (again). It just won't allow for the better touch display features, that we are used to on phones and tablets. Should I change the OS? It's a bit of a hassle.
