This is the smaller version of the Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2, with a more compact 5" capacitive touchscreen display offering the same 720x1280 resolution and five-finger capacitive touch.
Just like its big brother, the 5" Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2 requires only two connections to your Raspberry Pi - power from the GPIO pins, and a ribbon cable that connects to the DSI port on all Raspberry Pi computers (except for the Pi Zero and Pi 400/500 line). Both cables are included, including versions to support the different models of Raspberry Pi.
The Raspberry Pi provides power to the display - no separate power supply is required - and Raspberry Pi OS already provides touchscreen drivers with support for five-finger capacitive multi-touch and on-screen keyboard support, giving you full functionality without the need to connect a keyboard or mouse.
Your Raspberry Pi mounts on the rear of the display using the included fixings, allowing full use of Active Coolers and HATs. The GPIO power cable will consume some of your GPIO pins, so be sure to use a HAT with stacking headers, or grab one of these handy USB power adapters to keep your pins free.
